A bizarre Instagram reel showing a woman “preparing H20 at home” has gone massively viral on social media, leaving viewers amused with its deliberately absurd cooking instructions.

Instagram user baawarchi_mumma, revolves around the creator pretending to prepare water as though it were an elaborate dish. In the reel, she jokingly explains the “recipe” in a serious cooking-show style, beginning with adding “1 cup of H2O” to a pot and waiting for it to make a “Shoo” sound.
She further says viewers should add ice cubes, crushed ice, tap water, mineral water and filtered water while continuously stirring the mixture so the “H2O doesn’t convert into water molecule.”
Continuing the satire, the creator says the mixture should then be covered with cling wrap, frozen for a few minutes and later poured into bowls before being “baked” in an oven at 180 degrees. She also joked about toppings, suggesting viewers could use “cocktail ice” or “chilly cubes” according to their preference.
Adding to the comic tone, she claimed that “only boomers know this recipe” and teased Gen Z and millennials for allegedly not understanding it. The reel ended with her asking viewers to share better “water recipes” in the comments section if they knew any.
The creator captioned the post in Hindi, writing, “इतना आसान था H₂O बनाना… school wale बेवजह dara rahe the 😂”, which roughly translates to, “Making H2O was so easy… schools scared us for no reason.”
The bizarre yet creative humour quickly resonated with social media users, many of whom joined the joke with witty comments of their own. The reel has already crossed 22.2 million views, gathered 956k likes and attracted over 24.7k comments from users who flooded the post with hilarious reactions.
Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar also reacted to the reel and wrote, “I can make it better 😭 !”
