The Tenali family welcome their daughter and son-in-law with 158 dishes, including sweets, snacks, and traditional goodies, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The spread included an array of traditional Andhra delicacies, including crispy savoury snacks like murukulu, chekkalu, and garelu, sweet treats featuring jaggery, such as ariselu, bobbatlu, sunnundulu, and kajjikayalu.
In addition, the feast included varieties of rice, curries, and more. We are sure you must be drooling right now! (so are we).
The sheer variety and efforts grabbed eyeballs, with many describing the feast as “adirepoyela” (mind-blowing), which was so in line with the grandeur expected from Godavari traditions.
Traditionally, Tenali is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and also, Tenali Rama – the legendary court poet from the Vijayanagara era.
