The violent incident left the local community stunned, with many demanding strict action.
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Criminal activities have no religion or state division, it’s pure evil acts, don’t put in any category. Even if a goon was Kannadiga/Tamilian/Malayali/Punjabi, they are a threat to society; they should be in jail.”
Another shared, “Bengaluru was a liveable, affordable, peaceful, garden city. Now, the original, peaceful, friendly citizens of Bangalore, in addition to contending with exceedingly overpriced housing, healthcare, choked roads, transport, etc., will have to enrol for self-defence classes.”
“This is stretching things too far. How does this goon take the law into his hands? Our City has always been known for its tolerance, harmony and law-abiding. Such unruly hooliganism is tarnishing our image,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “This will only result in the Bihari people being thrown out of the state. The locals will always be suspicious about the Bihari people.”
One more added, “His fame is now in the hands of the court police and lawyers. He chose his destiny.”
Amid the chaos, Tarun Choudhury didn’t spare even his own security team, reportedly kicking them for failing to intimidate others.
