Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 has created quite a buzz ever since its teaser was dropped recently. Fans are not only excited to see Akshay and Arshad lock horns in the courtroom drama but
also are happy that the original cast of the previous two instalments has been retained in the third part. As such, Jolly LLB 3 marks Amrita Rao’s Bollywood comeback, six years after she was last seen in Thackeray.
Jolly LLB 3’s teaser gave a glimpse of Amrita Rao’s character in the film, and fans cannot stop gushing over her comeback. One person wrote, “I am pleasantly surprised by this. They could have just chosen to recast her, or not have this character in the movie at all. They’re treating this as a real sequel to both previous movies. If done well, it will improve the rewatchability of all 3 movies.”

Another fan wrote, “So happy to see the female leads being retained in a franchise. This hardly happens.” Another added, “People conveniently forget about the heroine, happy to see her return here.” A comment read, “I’m hoping Amrita is back for good because we need Amrita and Shahid back in a romantic movie again!” Another mentioned, “Iska and Shahid ka movie lao.”
Amrita Rao’s Role In Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB
In the 2013 courtroom drama Jolly LLB, Amrita Rao delivered a quiet yet impactful performance that complemented the film’s gripping narrative. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film starred Arshad Warsi as Jagdish Tyagi aka “Jolly”, a struggling lawyer who takes on a high-profile hit-and-run case. Amid the legal chaos, Rao played Sandhya, Jolly’s supportive girlfriend — a role that, while not central to the plot, added emotional depth and humanised the protagonist’s journey.
Her character grounded Jolly, offering both critique and encouragement as he wrestled with moral dilemmas and the lure of money versus justice. Though her screen time was limited, her presence was essential in showing Jolly’s transformation from a naive lawyer to a crusader for justice.
Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla Also Return
In the 2017 courtroom drama Jolly LLB 2, Huma Qureshi plays Pushpa Pandey, the spirited wife of Jagdishwar Mishra (Akshay Kumar), a small-time lawyer who finds himself embroiled in a battle against a corrupt system. While the film primarily focuses on legal intrigue and social justice, Qureshi’s character adds emotional depth and vibrancy to the narrative. Although not central to the legal drama, Pushpa serves as a mirror to Jolly’s conscience. Her presence reminds the audience what’s at stake beyond the courtroom—family, love, and dignity.
Saurabh Shukla’s performance as the no-nonsense, sharp-witted, and often humorous judge was widely acclaimed. It earned him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2014. Justice Tripathi became one of the most memorable characters in the film, balancing sarcasm with seriousness as he presided over the courtroom drama. Saurabh Shukla reprised this iconic role in the sequel, Jolly LLB 2. He is now all set to return in Jolly LLB 3.
Produced by Star Studio18 and brought to life by writer-director Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 features an impressive cast including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Annu Kapoor, Tej Sapru, Sharat Saxena and Gajraj Rao.
