On the eve of Republic Day, Yash Raj Films dropped a video featuring National Award-winning actor Rani Mukerji and Indian women’s cricket team all-rounder and UP Warriorz star Deepti Sharma. The video questions
the need to attach gender labels to achievements, delivering a strong message of equality and merit.
Through a candid exchange, Rani and Deepti highlight how professions like chefs or pilots are rarely defined by gender, and so why should achievements be? The video also spotlights an all-women crew behind the camera.

The video concludes with a powerful message by both: “Achievements ka koi gender nahi hota. This Republic Day, let go of labels.”
Earlier, reacting to the trailer, India’s World Cup–winning Women’s Cricket Captain Harmanpreet emphasised the urgency of accountability and justice. She wrote that “swift and example setting punishment is the need of the hour for crimes against women,” underlining how deeply the subject matter affected her.
She also expressed admiration for the Indian police force and their efforts to protect women and girls across the country. In her post, Harmanpreet wrote, “Love our police force who are always there to protect us every day 🚨 #Mardaani3 trailer is insane 🔥🔥 can’t wait to watch the film.”
Since its release, the Mardaani 3 trailer has become one of the most talked-about releases from the Hindi film industry. Rani Mukerji returns as Shivani Shivaji Roy, the fearless cop who once again risks her life, this time racing against the clock to rescue 93 missing young girls.
The franchise has consistently earned praise for tackling uncomfortable truths. While Mardaani (2014) exposed the horrors of human trafficking and Mardaani 2 (2019) explored the psyche of a serial rapist who challenged the justice system, Mardaani 3 delves into yet another brutal reality, continuing its legacy of socially relevant storytelling. Mardaani 3 is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on January 30, 2026.
