“Somewhere between gliding and falling, walking, and a lot of walking… we made ourselves a pretty wonderful life.” With these words and a heart-melting carousel of images, Alia Bhatt invited fans into
her fourth anniversary celebration with husband Ranbir Kapoor. The destination? The breathtaking snow-capped Austrian Alps. At this destination, the couple and their daughter decided to put their feet up at the ultra-exclusive Fernsicht Alpen-Apartments in the charming village of Lech.
As the couple enjoyed coffee in freezing temperatures and introduced their daughter, Raha, to furry alpacas, the world got a glimpse of what we believe was their high-end holiday home.
The trio chose Fernsicht, which isn’t your typical high-rise hotel. It is a sophisticated ski resort offering 11 distinct apartment options, ranging from cosy 48-square-metre spaces to expansive 119-square-metre suites. The interiors reflect a “quiet luxury” aesthetic—minimalist decor, warm wooden flooring, and floor-to-ceiling views of the pristine blue skies and mountains.
The resort is a haven for the elite; hence, it comes with a price tag that matches that perception. The couple likely paid between 790 euros (Rs 86,670) and 850 euros (Rs 93,252) per night. However, if you’re planning to visit during the high-octane ski season (late March to early April), be prepared to shell out much more. Prices for those peak dates soar between Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.43 lakh per night.
What sets these apartments apart are the bespoke amenities. Every single apartment comes equipped with its own private Finnish sauna, allowing guests to unwind in total seclusion after a day on the slopes. The resort also facilitates ski passes and Lech cards, which give you direct access to cable cars, forest swimming pools, and guided tours.
As seen in Alia’s posts, the property offers unique experiences like meeting local alpacas, adding a touch of whimsy to the luxury.
