Tabu has introduced her character Gauri Hegde from the upcoming film Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Sharing a video on social media, the actor gave fans a glimpse of the fierce
and fearless character from the film starring Vijay Sethupathi. She plays a no-nonsense Income Tax officer who is not afraid to take on anyone in her way. For the film, Tabu also worked on her Hyderabadi dialect, and the glimpse of her character has left fans impressed.
Tabu Plays Income Tax Officer Gauri Hegde In Slum Dog– 33 Temple Road
“Introducing you all GAURI HEGDE,” Tabu wrote. She described Gauri as someone who is “fierce, fearless and always ready to stand her ground.” Tabu also spoke about the fun of getting the character’s Hyderabadi dialect right. “So much fun speaking the Hyderabadi dialect!” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

She thanked director Puri Jagannadh for creating such a distinctive character. She also thanked producer Charmme Kaur for being an important part of bringing the film’s world to life.
The video introduces Gauri as a powerful officer and “devil in the department”. She is described as “ruthless, merciless and courageous”. The clip shows Gauri taking on the bad guys. She is seen kicking and slapping them and getting into fights. In another scene, she is seen interrogating Vijay Sethupathi’s character. The teaser ends with Gauri introducing herself. “Gauri Hegde, Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax,” she says.
