Ishaan Khatter has officially announced the title of his upcoming comedy entertainer, ‘Jugaadu’, directed by Palash Vaswani, best known for the series Gullak. The announcement also revealed that the film
is all set to go on floors later this month in Punjab, sparking excitement among fans.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Ishaan shared a photo of himself holding a clapboard and Jugaadu is written on it. “Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for #JUGAADU -My first in and as! Cooking with an incredible and passionate team to bring you this riot of an entertainer in cinemas soon,” read the caption. Fans also reacted and congratulated him. Vishal Jethwa wrote, “Congratulations So excited for this one.”

Bringing together this new on-screen duo, the film began its journey with a mahurat in Mumbai on 30th April, 2026. The film also boasts of an eclectic ensemble featuring actors Abhishek Banerjee, Jameel Khan, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Yamini Dass, Sukhwinder Chahal and Nirmal Rishi amongst others.
Following his acclaimed work on shows like Gullak and Bada Naam Karega, director Palash Vaswani takes charge of Jugaadu, marking his feature film debut. With preparations in full swing, the team is all set to shoot their first schedule in Punjab this month.

Ishaan Khatter to return with The Royals Season 2
On the work front, Ishaan Khatter was last seen in Homebound. The film, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, follows two childhood friends, Chandan, a Dalit (Vishal Jethwa), and Shoaib, a Muslim (Ishaan Khatter). Set in a North Indian town, Homebound depicts how they set out to become police officers in hopes of escaping the deep-seated hostility they face. However, life takes an unexpected turn when the exam results are delayed, jeopardising their future and challenging their friendship as their desperation intensifies.
Now, Ishaan is preparing for the next season of his web series The Royals. The makers had earlier confirmed that the show will return with a new season on Netflix. When the announcement was made, the team wrote, “Old money, new blood, and a new season is in the works. The Royals Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix.”
The first season featured a cast that included Bhumi Pednekar, Udit Arora, Zeenat Aman, and Sakshi Tanwar, along with Ishaan. The series follows the story of Prince Aviraaj Singh, played by Ishaan, who struggles to handle the responsibilities of royal life after the death of his father, King Yuvanath.
