Ishita Dutta took to her Instagram handle to confirm the development. She shared a photo of the film’s clapboard with Drishyam 3 clearly mentioned, along with another picture of herself standing in front of her vanity van.

Interestingly, Mohanlal, who stars in the Malayalam version, has already completed shooting for Drishyam 3. The Malayalam instalment is scheduled to release on April 2, 2026, several months before the Hindi version.
Drishyam 3 Controversy: Akshaye Khanna Exits the Film
Apart from excitement, Drishyam 3 has also been surrounded by controversy. Actor Akshaye Khanna, who was expected to be part of the film, exited the project just days before shooting began.
According to producer Kumar Mangat, Akshaye reportedly had issues related to his look and remuneration and chose to walk out despite having signed an agreement.
Following Akshaye’s exit, rumors suggested that Jaideep Ahlawat might step into the role. However, director Abhishek Pathak dismissed the speculation.
