Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill continued his ritual of taking cheeky digs at IPL opponents after victories this season. GT completed a season double over Chennai Super Kings on Thursday night, and
Gill did not miss the opportunity to take a playful swipe at CSK and their fans through a social media post.

“Nandri 2. Yellow lights, blue ending,” Gill captioned a picture featuring himself alongside Mohammed Siraj and Jos Buttler. In the image, the trio can be seen with fingers placed on their lips – a gesture suggesting they had silenced the vocal CSK supporters.
During the contest too, Gill celebrated animatedly after taking a brilliant diving catch to end Shivam Dube’s blistering innings that revived CSK’s dying hopes of a magical comeback after they suffered a batting collapse in the chase of 230 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
After taking the catch, a pumped-up Gill shushed the CSK fans as Dube began his long walk back the dug-out having belted 47 off 17 with the help of four fours and as many sixes.
Gill had earlier produced a rock-solid performance with the bat while opening the innings for GT as he struck 64 off 37, an innings featuring seven fours and three sixes. He stitched a 125-run partnership with Sai Sudharsan for the first wicket that set the foundation for their mammoth total of 229/4 in 20 overs.
Sudharsan continued his purple patch, hitting 84 off 53 – this fifth straight half-century of the IPL 2026. Late, Jos Buttler peeled off a quickfire half-century of his own – an unbeaten 57 off 27.
In reply, CSK lost opener Sanju Samson off the very first ball of the chase to Siraj and that set the tone of their poor show with the bat. The visitors eventually folded for 140 in 13.4 overs to crash to their eighth defeat of the season.
