The project is executed by Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
The long-awaited facility comes after an inspection by the Bengaluru Traffic Police on April 2, during which officials confirmed that the entire flyover was ready for use. Despite this clearance, the formal opening was delayed, with authorities citing the need for approval from “higher authorities” before allowing regular traffic.
The project was partially opened in July 2024. The rail-cum-road flyover from Ragigudda to Central Silk Board, including loops and ramps spanning a total of 5.12 km, now offers signal-free movement for vehicles travelling from Ragigudda to HSR Layout and Hosur Road. According to officials, this is expected to cut travel time along the corridor by over 30 per cent.
