Ahead ofBorder 2’s release this January, the filmmakers of the upcoming film gathered with Indian Navy officials and sailors at the Karwar Naval Base for a special tribute and celebration. Border 2 will
be released in theatres on January 23 and is based on themes of courage, fraternity, and national service. The evening’s highlight was a special live performance by celebrated artists for Indian Navy commanders and sailors.
Sonu Nigam mesmerised all with his soulful rendition of the songs Ghar Kab Aaoge and Mitti Ke Bete from Border 2. Along with him, Anu Malik also joined the stage and sang a few lines of his composition Hindustan Meri Jaan from Border. Reportedly, the team was deeply grateful to the Indian Navy for their gracious hospitality and for allowing the film’s soundtrack to be heard in such an important venue.

Sonu Nigam On Ghar Kab Aaoge
Earlier when the first track Ghar Kab Aaoge released, Sonu Nigam stated on Instagram that this is more than just a song for him; it is an emotion. He dedicated Ghar Kab Aaoge to the courageous warriors and their families. He wrote, “Some songs aren’t just melodies; they are emotions that belong to the soul of our nation. Being a part of this song for Border 2 felt like a beautiful homecoming. It is rare for an artist to relive such magic, and I feel truly blessed that this journey continues. This one is for our brave soldiers and the families waiting for them.” Mithoon recreated the song Sandesa Aate Hai, which was originally scored by Anu Malik, and Manoj Muntashir Shukla gave new lyrics to it. Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod sang the original single from the 1999 war movie Border. Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics for the song, which starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Jackie Shroff.
