The FASTag Annual Pass costs Rs 3,075 and covers up to 200 crossings at eligible National Highway toll plazas for private cars, jeeps and vans.
The FASTag Annual Pass allows eligible private vehicle owners
to travel through participating National Highway and National Expressway toll plazas without paying separately for every crossing. Introduced by the National Highways Authority of India, the pass is activated digitally on an existing FASTag.
For the 2026–27 financial year, the pass costs Rs 3,075. It remains valid for 12 months from activation or 200 eligible toll crossings, whichever comes first.
Who Can Buy the FASTag Annual Pass?
The annual pass is available only for non-commercial cars, jeeps and vans. The vehicle must have a valid Registration Certificate and an active FASTag permanently affixed to its windscreen.
The FASTag must be linked to the same Vehicle Registration Number entered during the application. A tag registered only against a chassis number must first be updated with the final registration number.
Blacklisted, hotlisted or improperly affixed FASTags are not eligible. Paytm FASTags are also excluded under the current rules. The pass cannot be transferred between vehicles because it remains linked to the original registration number.
Where Is the Annual Pass Valid?
The pass works at approximately 1,150 NHAI-operated toll plazas on National Highways and National Expressways. It does not automatically cover tolls managed by state governments, municipal bodies or private operators outside the NHAI network.
Users should check the Eligible Toll Plazas section in the Rajmargyatra app before purchasing the pass or planning a journey.
Each one-way passage through a toll plaza counts as one crossing, meaning a return journey normally uses two. On a closed tolling system, one valid entry-and-exit pair is treated as a single crossing.
How to Buy the FASTag Annual Pass
Download or update the official Rajmargyatra app and sign in with your mobile number. Open the Annual Pass section and select the option to add or book a pass.
Enter the vehicle registration number and verify the displayed vehicle and FASTag information. Accept the terms and complete the Rs 3,075 payment using one of the available digital payment options.
The pass is generally activated on the existing FASTag within two hours after successful verification and payment. It can also be purchased through the official NHAI annual-pass website.
What Happens After the Pass Expires?
The Annual Pass benefit ends after 12 months or once all 200 crossings have been used. Unused crossings expire and are neither carried forward nor refunded.
The FASTag continues to function normally after the pass expires, with regular toll charges deducted from its linked wallet or account. Drivers can then purchase another annual pass if they remain eligible.
The Annual Pass differs from a Local Pass, which provides unlimited monthly travel through one specified toll plaza for eligible nearby residents.
