A day after marking his 75th birthday amid an outpouring of love from fans and colleagues, Rajinikanth chose a quieter, deeply personal way to celebrate. The superstar was spotted at the Tirupati temple
with his family, offering prayers and keeping his birthday observances rooted in faith rather than fanfare.
A Family Visit Marked By Warmth And Grace
Photographs circulating online show Rajinikanth arriving at the temple accompanied by his wife Latha and daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya. His grandson Yatra Raja was also seen by his side, gently guiding the actor as the family moved through the temple premises. The images captured a rare, intimate glimpse of Thalaiva away from the arc lights, walking calmly and greeting devotees who had gathered to catch a glimpse of him.
After the darshan, Rajinikanth posed briefly for photographs with his family and acknowledged fans with his trademark warmth, waving and smiling before leaving the premises.

Padayappa Re-Release Adds To Birthday Celebrations
As part of his milestone birthday celebrations, Rajinikanth recently re-released his 1999 blockbuster Padayappa in theatres. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film remains one of the most iconic titles of his career, with Ramya Krishnan’s portrayal of Neelambari still widely celebrated.
While promoting the re-release, Rajinikanth revealed that he had once envisioned a sequel and had even imagined Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the antagonist — a role that ultimately became one of Ramya Krishnan’s most memorable performances. The film also featured Soundarya, Lakshmi, Sithara and Radha Ravi in pivotal roles.
What Lies Ahead For Thalaiva
On the work front, Rajinikanth is gearing up for Jailer 2, the sequel to Nelson Dilipkumar’s 2023 blockbuster. The upcoming film is expected to raise the stakes significantly, with Muthuvel Pandian facing even more formidable threats. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are likely to reprise their roles, while Mithun Chakraborty and Vidya Balan are also expected to play key parts.
Beyond that, the superstar is also attached to Thalaivar173, a tentatively titled project co-produced by Kamal Haasan and reportedly directed by Parking filmmaker Ramkumar Balakrishnan. While details remain under wraps, the project has already sparked immense curiosity among fans.
Even at 75, Rajinikanth continues to balance superstardom with simplicity — celebrating milestones not just with box-office triumphs, but with quiet moments of faith and family.
