What Composer Anirudh Ravichander Said?
In a conversation with India Today, Composer Anirudh Ravichander revealed, “I think probably next year, the film will go on floors, and there’s a lot of hype and hoopla around it.” He also talks about the music. Anirudh said he has already composed several high-energy mass tracks for both stars in the past. This time, he wanted to try something different and opted for a retro sound to match the vibe of the promo. He was relieved and happy to see the positive response to Aaja Raja.
Makers Shut Down AI Accusations, Drop BTS Proof
Production house Red Giant Movies shared a behind-the-scenes clip to put the rumours to rest. The footage shows Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan on set, shooting the promo with director Nelson and composer Anirudh Ravichander. Extras, who were also accused online of being digitally generated, are seen moving around naturally during filming. The clip ends with Rajinikanth and Kamal hugging after completing their shots. Sharing the video, the makers wrote, “Lights. Camera. Action. A sneak peek into the making of #KHxRK promo.” The message was clear: no AI, just old-school filmmaking.
The excitement around this project is understandable. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan last worked together in 1979 in Ninaithale Inikkum, directed by K. Balachander. Before that, they shared screen space in films like Apoorva Raagangal, Anthuleni Katha, Pathinaru Vayathinile and Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu.
Over the decades, both actors built massive individual careers, rarely crossing paths again. So when news broke that they would reunite under Nelson’s direction, it instantly became one of the biggest announcements in Tamil cinema.
Rajinikanth had earlier teased a possible reunion during the release of Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, last year.
