Soon after the post was shared online, fans of Anirudh and Kavya were over the moon. One fan commented, “So the news is now official. Best of luck Ani.” Another fan wrote, “so it’s official !!! ani already being a part of one of the influential fam in tn is now going to be part of another one too.” A third fan commented, “The rumors are true, no one can stop them from being the IT couple.”
Speculation about Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran’s relationship first gained traction in 2025, when a Reddit post claimed that the two were dating and that their families had begun discussing marriage. At the time, Anirudh addressed the rumours on social media, dismissing the claims with a post that read, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys… please stop spreading rumours.”
Despite Anirudh’s denial, speculation about his relationship with Kavya continued to make headlines. In June 2026, his uncle, actor Y Gee Mahendra, appeared to confirm the wedding while speaking to KPTV. “I would like to take this moment to congratulate him. He is getting into a very big wedding. Based on what I’ve been told, it’s a sure thing. They are getting married,” he said. He further added, “That girl is not just another ordinary girl. She has the capacity to handle such a big team (SRH). She has inherited her father’s business genes. They’re a good pair. Both of them should get together and indulge in musical business.”
