Border 2 is continuing its strong run at the box office, crossing Rs 250 crore mark globally within just four days of release. The war drama, headlined by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan
Shetty, has benefited from the extended Republic Day weekend and steady word of mouth. As audiences throng theatres, stories from the film’s large ensemble cast are also finding their way.
One such moment that has caught attention comes from actress Ishika Gagneja, who features in the film in a key supporting role. Ishika recently shared that she went from being a devoted fan of Diljit Dosanjh to playing his sister on screen in Border 2.

The actress posted a reel that neatly captured the journey, beginning with clips of her attending Diljit’s concert as a fan, before cutting to scenes from the film where she appears alongside him. Sharing the reel she wrote, “@diljitdosanjh veerji, working with you was truly a dream come true Kindness and humility like yours are incredibly rare to find. ਰੱਬ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ I attended your concert in 2024 and manifested working with you while standing in that crowd. A year later, I shot for Border 2 with you… and in 2026, I get to see myself playing your sister.”

Border 2 box office
Border 2 continues to deliver impressive numbers. The film opened to Rs 30 crore net in India on its first day, despite several morning show cancellations. Collections picked up sharply over the next few days, with Republic Day bringing in a massive Rs 59 crore domestically. The film has now collected Rs 180 crore net in India, translating to Rs 212.5 crore gross as per Sacnilk
Internationally, Border 2 has also performed well, earning around $4.3 million overseas by Sunday. This takes its worldwide total to approximately Rs 251 crore in just four days. With this, the film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Sikandar and Raid 2, becoming only the seventh Hindi film since last year to cross the Rs 250 crore global milestone.
