In April, Kareena Kapoor Khan announced her next project titled ‘Daayra’ with her dream team- actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, and director Meghna Gulzar. Now, filming for this much-anticipated crime thriller
has officially begun. Kareena took to social media to share the news, posting a behind-the-scenes video that offers a sneak peek into the team’s preparations over the past few months. She revealed that it marks the first day of shooting for her 68th film and asked her fans for their love and blessings.
Daayra Shoot Commences
On Thursday, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram account to share a video clip which included several glimpses of the team’s prep for Daayra. Kareena is seen reading the script in one glimpse, while another shows Prithviraj Sukumaran in character, dressed in a police uniform. The video also shows veteran lyricist and poet Gulzar on the sets of Daayra, warmly interacting with Prithviraj and other team members. Sharing the video, Bebo wrote, “Day 1 68th film Daayra with the most amazing @meghnagulzar and @therealprithvi …Send love and blessings.”
Meanwhile, Megna Gulzar also shared the same video, and wrote, “A journey of blurred and crossed lines…We begin.” Prithviraj Sukumaran wrote, “#Daayra is officially rolling. A new story, a new journey that challenges and excites in equal parts. Thrilled to be stepping into this world.” Check out the video below!
