Don 3 cast: The excitement around Don 3 is only getting louder. With Ranveer Singh confirmed as the face of the next chapter, a report in India Today now points towards two big names who have previously
owned the Don legacy – Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. According to it, both actors have been approached to appear in the film, and while nothing has been signed yet, the idea of the three Dons uniting on screen has fans hooked.

For many, this possibility feels like a full-circle moment. Amitabh Bachchan turned the original Don (1978) into a cult phenomenon, while Shah Rukh Khan gave the franchise a new lease of life with Farhan Akhtar’s stylish reboot in 2006 and its sequel in 2011. Now, Ranveer Singh stepping in marks a new phase, and having all three in the same frame would be a landmark for Bollywood.
The third instalment, once again helmed by Farhan Akhtar, is being pitched as the most ambitious film in the series so far. From its scale to its cast, everything about Don 3 has been making headlines. Fans have long debated whether SRK would make a surprise return even after “passing the baton” — and these latest rumours have only heightened that buzz.
If Bachchan and Khan do say yes, Don 3 could transform from just another sequel into one of the most talked-about collaborations in Hindi cinema history.
While there were reports that Kiara Advani would no longer be part of the film due to her pregnancy, it looks like she has now decided to come on board.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development shared with Subhash K. Jha, “Yes, there’s been a delay — but it couldn’t be helped. Ranveer Singh, who replaced Shah Rukh Khan in the franchise, had to deal with a wave of online trolling for ‘daring’ to step into SRK’s shoes. Farhan and Ranveer mutually decided to lie low and let the heat die down. Ranveer also needed time to physically and mentally prepare for the role, which requires rigorous martial arts training.”
The source further added, “After that, Kiara Advani — who was signed on to replace Priyanka Chopra as the female lead — got pregnant. Farhan had to halt the film’s progress due to her changed circumstances. To add to that, Farhan got deeply immersed in his own acting schedule for the intense war film 120 Bahadur, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh. That film is scheduled to release on November 21, 2025.”
Now, with the makers eyeing January to kick-start the shoot, the target is to release the movie by December 2026. But the even bigger news is that the makers are planning a major surprise: “There is a possibility that Priyanka Chopra may return to the Don franchise.”
