Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi’s Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights have fans excited. Fans cannot wait to watch their chemistry unfold on screen, and adding to that anticipation is how
the actors keep gushing over each other in press interviews and promotional videos.
During her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Margot Robbie opened up about how she felt when Jacob Elordi picked her up multiple times in Wuthering Heights. Looking at one of the scenes, Jimmy asked, “What does it feel like to have a man just suddenly put you in a tree?”
Margot said, “There’s so many times in the movie where he just picks me up or puts me in a tree or picks me up with one hand. I have to say, it’s really nice. It makes you feel like, ‘Oh, I’m light as a feather. I’m a tiny little thing.’”
Jimmy responded, “Can I tell you something? I’ve had a man pick me up like that.” Margot asked, “How did it make you feel?” Jimmy replied, “You think I’m kidding, but I’m not kidding. Shaquille O’Neal lifted me up like I was a baby. I just felt like I was a little boy.”
Wuthering Heights Trailer
The first look at the new film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel Wuthering Heights hints at an intense romance between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, played by Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The trailer features unexpected scenes, including shots of dough, egg yolks and a fish’s mouth.
Along with these visuals, we also get glimpses of Robbie and Elordi’s passionate yet turbulent relationship. The first look suggests that the film will explore their love story in a modern yet visually daring way while staying true to the emotional complexity of Brontë’s characters.
The trailer begins with a classic wide shot of a grand estate, which quickly moves to a close-up of Robbie’s character. It then takes a turn with a sensual shot of two female hands kneading bread. Throughout the preview, these unusual and intimate images are mixed with glimpses of the story’s passionate moments, like a bare, sweaty back, fingers running through egg yolks, Robbie’s character putting her fingers in Elordi’s mouth, and a bodice being tightened.
Other than Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, the upcoming film, scheduled to release on 11 February 2026, also stars Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell.
