Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted quiz game show, recently grabbed the viewer’s attention after a 10-year-old boy, Ishit Bhatt, appeared on the hot seat. During his appearance, the fifth
grader from Gujarat exhibited curt responses and often interrupted Big B, urging the star to waste no time explaining the rules to him.
Soon after the episode went on air, the 10-year-old faced harsh social media criticism, especially for his rude behaviour towards the Megastar and his overconfidence while answering the questions.
Ishit Bhatt Issues Public Apology
Now, apparently, the kid has issued a public apology following the social media criticism. An Instagram account with the handle @ishit_bhatt_official has shared a video of the kid, gently requesting Big B for a picture and the actor immediately fulfilling his request.
The video was accompanied by a heartfelt note that reads, “Hello everyone, I want to sincerely apologise for my behaviour on Kaun Banega Crorepati. I know many people felt hurt, disappointed, or disrespected by the way I spoke, and I truly regret it.”
He added, “At that moment, I got nervous and my attitude came out completely wrong. It wasn’t my intention to be rude — I respect Amitabh Bachchan, sir and the entire KBC team deeply. I’ve learned a big lesson about how words and actions reflect who we are, especially on such a big platform. I promise to be more humble, respectful, and thoughtful in the future.”
Lastly, he concluded the message by expressing gratitude to everyone who supported him during this tough phase and wrote, “Thank you to everyone who still supported me and gave me a chance to learn from this mistake— The KBC Boy.”

How Did Social Media React?
In no time, the comment section was flooded with reactions from several users. While many accepted his apology, some of them still mocked him for his behaviour.
An Instagram user commented, “He is a kid, he made a mistake, realised it and apologised.. guys, plz don’t become the reason for someone’s childhood trauma.” Another one wrote, “Arehhh, Sir lock karooo naaa.” One of them shared, “He is just a kid, he is excited, let’s sink that in and stop shaming him.”
One person wrote, “Yes, don’t judge, he is just kid plz.” Another comment reads, “4 baar lock lga do sir.” A user shared, “Unfortunately, this photo won’t be his good memory for life because People have given him so much bad for him.”
“Apni galti swikarna b bahut bada kaam hai. Very good,” a comment reads. A person wrote, “Amitabh is mature – He knows it’s just a Kid, let go of everything….. But the public is busy trolling him.”
