Music festivals are usually loud, crowded and unpredictable. Crying toddlers and overwhelmed parents are almost expected. But at Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai, something unexpected stood out. As Linkin
Park tore through their set on January 25, several millennial parents were spotted in the crowd with young children. The kids weren’t restless. They weren’t crying. They weren’t disrupting anyone. Instead, they were calm, curious and fully tuned in, some even singing along.
For many on social media, it felt like a rare glimpse of parenting done right.
‘What A Core Memory’ Clips Take Over Instagram
One video that struck a chord was shared by Instagram user Sukanya. It showed a child perched comfortably on their father’s shoulder, enjoying the performance as the crowd roared around them.
“Definitely the highlight for me while @linkinpark was performing today at @lollaindia. What a core memory for these two,” read the caption. The text overlay on the clip said, “Oh to have your kid vibe and sing along with to the lyrics of your favourite band. What a core memory.”

The comments section filled up fast. One user wrote, “Mad respect to all parents who pulled up to Lola with their kids. I saw kids barely a year old and toddlers and around 10-year-olds at Lola and you all are raising the next generation of music lovers.”
Another comment kept it simple: “This is so wholesome.”
More Parents, Same Vibe
Sukanya’s reel wasn’t the only one doing the rounds. Kabir, another Instagram user, shared a similar clip from the Linkin Park set. His toddler sat on his shoulders, eyes fixed on the stage. The caption read, “Father of the year,” while one comment declared, “The kid is raised right.”
Artist Prasad Bhatt also joined in. In his video, his son watched the performance from his shoulders. “Would have loved to do this in Namma Bengaluru, but all in all, this was worth it. One of our best moments together,” he wrote. The text overlay said, “Passing on the legacy to our son.”
One response summed up the mood online: “And that’s why I say millennial parents will be the best in history.”
Linkin Park, India And An Unexpected Spotlight
Linkin Park made their long-awaited India debut with a Bengaluru show before headlining Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai. On Sunday night, the band delivered a career-spanning set, blending Numb, In the End, Crawling and Faint into a cathartic main-stage performance.
Yet amid the distortion, lights and crowd energy, it was the sight of children absorbing the moment that stayed with many viewers.
