At its core, #Border2 is about valour, sacrifice and brotherhood – told with conviction and cinematic flair… Anurag balances spectacle with sentiment while staying true to the spirit of the 1971 war.”

He added, “The war sequences are breathtaking – mounted on a grand scale with meticulous detailing… Explosions, strategy, ground combat and aerial action are staged with realism and edge-of-the-seat tension… Importantly, the action never feels hollow; it always serves the story and the emotions of the soldiers fighting the battle.”
He also appreciated the dialogue and music in the film. For him, Sunny Deol is the heart of Border 2. He wrote, “#SunnyDeol is the film’s beating heart… When he roars, the theatre is sure to erupt, especially when he delivers the power-packed lines… This is vintage #SunnyDeol – commanding, righteous, and unforgettable. And an important fact: the film opens with #SunnyDeol – he’s there *from the very first sequence right till the end*… In fact, he has the meatiest part in #Border2.”
For the other performances, he wrote, “#VarunDhawan springs a big surprise… He brings intensity, vulnerability, and fire to his role, proving once again that he thrives when backed by strong writing and a well-etched character. #DiljitDosanjh is in terrific form – a sheer delight to watch in every sequence… His comic timing and lighter moments are a huge plus. #AhanShetty continues his upward journey with a confident, sincere turn – holding his own alongside seasoned performers. #MedhaRana, #MonaSingh, and #SonamBajwa – the leading ladies – make their presence felt.”
Many other X users echoed this sentiment. One person wrote, “#SunnyDeol — Absolute LION MODE💥Explosive dialogue delivery, commanding screen presence, and raw emotions. This is vintage Sunny Deol in his zone. #varundhawan — Surprisingly powerful and sincere. He brings emotional depth, intensity, and maturity. No overacting, just honest, impactful performance. #diljitdosanjh – – HEART of the film. Natural, soulful, and emotionally strong. His presence adds warmth, humanity, and relatability to the war drama. #AhanShetty – – Solid and promising. Brings raw energy, aggression, and commitment. He holds his ground well in a big-scale war setup.🔥”

However, one person also wrote, “Rating- ⭐️⭐️ Power and patriotism are clearly the intent, but the execution feels uneven. The scale is grand and a few war sequences work, yet the emotions often feel loud and forced rather than organic. Dialogues try hard to punch, but not all land, and the screenplay drags in places. Respectable effort, sincere performances, but it never reaches the impact of the original. Average watch, nostalgia does most of the heavy lifting.”
