is set to release in just a few days. The film marks a special moment for audiences who grew up watching his iconic work. Ahead of its release, the makers hosted a special screening in Mumbai, attended by several well-known faces from the film industry, including Rekha.
Rekha arrived at the star-studded event in her signature graceful style and immediately drew attention. On the red carpet, she paused near a poster of Dharmendra, folded her hands, and bowed her head in a heartfelt gesture of respect. This moment earned praise from fans who fondly recalled the timeless on-screen bond the two legends once shared.
Rekha’s Special Gesture For Dharmendra
As seen in a paparazzi video circulating online, Rekha first posed for photographers on the red carpet before heading towards the venue entrance. However, midway, she suddenly paused and turned back to look at a poster of Dharmendra. Standing still for a few moments, the veteran actress gazed at the image, then folded her hands and bowed her head in a mark of respect. Before moving ahead, Rekha also blew a flying kiss towards the poster.

Rekha and Dharmendra have shared screen space in several popular films, including Ghazab, Kartavya, Kahani Kismat Ki, Keemat and Kasam Suhaag Ki. The two were last seen together at the screening of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s film Loveyapa. As cameras flashed at the event, Rekha posed for pictures and was also seen chatting with Dharmendra, alongside Aamir Khan, who hosted the screening.

Ikkis: Everything About The Film
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a war biopic that tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest soldier to receive the Param Vir Chakra. Along with Dharmendra, the cast includes Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher and Rahul Dev in key roles. The movie is scheduled to release on January 1, 2026.
