Air India, one of the country’s largest airlines, has recently been under intense scrutiny for unfortunate reasons. The spotlight intensified after the tragic Ahmedabad-London flight crash in June, which
claimed the lives of over 250 people. Since the incident, numerous reports of technical glitches and poor service from the airline have surfaced online, raising concerns among passengers and the public.
Amid this scrutiny, a passenger has now praised the crew for their quick and professional assistance to a woman facing a serious medical emergency mid-flight.
Passenger Heaps Praise On Air India Staff
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a passenger shared his experience on Air India flight AI 2807 from New Delhi to Bengaluru, recounting a “highly distressing medical situation” when a female co-passenger began nosebleeding, prompting immediate medical assistance from the crew.
Impressed by how the flight attendants patiently took care of the woman, while also maintaining hygiene inside the aircraft, he wrote, “The flight attendants handled their high-pressure task very well, attending to the patient medically, while keeping poised and calm through it all. Staff wore surgical gloves, and medical waste was collected in a special bag to be disposed of.”
Furthermore, he also lauded the pilot for landing the plane before the scheduled time and other passengers for cooperating with the staff. The post further reads, “The pilots ensured the flight landed earlier than scheduled, so that a doctor could come on board and examine her in Bengaluru. In spite of it being late, passengers too cooperated, remaining in their seats and letting the doctor do her job.”
The passenger concluded the post saying, “A lot of effort and skill goes into ensuring flight safety, most of which goes unnoticed and often unappreciated. So, this is a word of appreciation and respect for the way Air India and the Bangalore Airport staff handled tonight’s situation. I hope the woman’s recovery is going well.”
