The Parineeta actress rang in her 47th birthday on January 1, 2026. She marked her special day by celebrating with paparazzi. The actress cut a cake and shared warm moments with the photographers who gathered to wish her.
A video from her birthday celebrations that is circulating online shows the Kahaani actress beaming with joy as she cuts her cake amid cheers and applause from the photographers. Dressed in an elegant yet understated black outfit, Vidya looked visibly happy as she thanked the paparazzi for their warm wishes. She also paused to pose for pictures, sharing festive cheer on the very first day of the New Year.
Vidya Balan’s Career And Achievements
Vidya Balan made her film debut with the Bengali film Bhalo Theko (2003). She made her mark in Hindi cinema with musical romance film Pareineeta (2005) and earned widespread critical acclaim from both the audiences and critics. This was followed by several commercial successes, including Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).
Vidya then went on to cement her legacy with roles in Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), No One Killed Jessica (2011), The Dirty Picture (2011)and Kahaani (2012).
She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of South actress Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture. She was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014.
Vidya was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, where she appeared alongside Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit.
