World No. 1 Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah played both the Tests of the recently concluded series against the West Indies. In the series opener played at his home ground, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad,
Bumrah picked up three wickets in the first innings, and in the second Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, he dismissed four West Indies batters (1 in the 1st innings, 3 in the 2nd innings).
In the two Tests against the Caribbean team, Mohammed Siraj partnered Bumrah in the pace attack, and he finished with a total of 10 wickets (7 in the first Test and 3 in the second Test).
A day after the conclusion of the home series, which India won quite comfortably under Shubman Gill’s leadership, BCCI shared a video of the memorable moments from the series, and in that clip, Bumrah can be seen teasing Siraj.
At the start of the 51st second, Bumrah, during his chat with Siraj in the warm-up, said, “Mohammed Siraj official, baki sab…”

‘Mohammed Siraj official, baki sab…’ comes from a past video of Siraj on Instagram where, via a video message to his fans, he confirmed his official account on the popular photo- and video-sharing platform.

Siraj to play in Australia ODIs, Bumrah rested
Siraj, who was ignored for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, will next be seen in action for India against Australia in the three-match ODI series. He was included in India’s ODI squad after more than a year. Bumrah has been rested for the 50-over matches, and in his place Siraj will lead the Indian pace attack. Siraj has played a total of 44 one-day matches for Team India so far and has picked up 71 wickets.
In September 2023, after he picked up six wickets in the final of the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka, Siraj also became the world’s No. 1 ODI bowler.
Bumrah, who hasn’t played an ODI match for India since the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia in Ahmedabad, is part of the T20I squad and will travel to Australia post-Diwali for the five-match series.
