The much-awaited second season of the Telugu supernatural thriller Dhootha has officially been launched, bringing exciting news for fans of the hit series. Following the success of the first season in 2023,
which marked actor Naga Chaitanya’s digital debut, the franchise is now gearing up for its next chapter with a significant new development.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Naga Chaitanya shared the photos from the pooja ceremony. Akkineni Nagarjuna clapping the board for the cast and crew. “Auspicious beginnings as I step into the second chapter of Dhootha and my first step as a producer. Onwards and upwards. Here’s to the magic ahead,” read the caption. Fans also reacted. One of the fans wrote, “Dootha nice series first series bagundi second series kuda hit avvali my wishes.” Another wrote, “All the best anna Akkineni power chupiyali.”

Everything Your Need To Know About Dhootha
Dhootha is a horror-mystery thriller created and directed by Vikram Kumar. The series follows Sagar, a morally complex and successful journalist, who starts receiving newspaper clippings that accurately predict tragic, fatal, and often supernatural events affecting his loved ones. As a string of crimes unfolds, Sagar comes under suspicion and must uncover the source of these ominous predictions while confronting his own dark past.
Alongside Naga Chaitanya in the lead, the series features Srikanth Murali, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prachi Desai, Anish Kuruvilla, Tharun Bhascker, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others in pivotal roles.
The series’ music and background score were composed by Ishaan Chhabra, visuals were crafted by Mikolaj Sygula, and Naveen Nooli served as editor for the eight-episode series.
Naga Chaitanya’s Work Front
Naga Chaitanya was last seen in a leading role in the Telugu romantic action thriller Thandel. The film follows Raju, a courageous fisherman who accidentally crosses into Pakistani waters. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead, the movie also features Aadukalam Naren, Divya Pillai, Karunakaran, Kalpa Latha, Babloo Prithiveeraj, and others in key roles. Inspired by a real-life incident involving a fisherman from Srikakulam, Thandel is currently streaming on Netflix.
Looking ahead, Naga Chaitanya will next headline Vrushakarma. Directed by Virupaksha fame Karthik Varma Dandu, the film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.
