While rumours of commoners joining the house had already been generating buzz across social media, the announcement of two separate houses has taken fan excitement to unprecedented levels.

The ninth edition of the hit reality show will premiere on September 7. Audiences can catch all the action on JioHotstar, which is also accessible via OTTplay Premium. This season marks Nagarjuna’s sixth consecutive stint as host and viewers can expect him to bring his signature charm, poise and wit to the proceedings.
For the first time in Bigg Boss Telugu history, non-celebrity contestants will get the opportunity to share the stage with well-known public figures. The filming for Agnipariksha recently began in Hyderabad. Around 40 shortlisted commoners are currently competing in a series of specially designed tasks. Only three winners will earn a coveted spot alongside the celebrity lineup in the main season.
A colossal set is being constructed at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, where the show will be filmed for the next three months. This ambitious setup is a first for the Telugu edition of the show and is inspired by the overwhelming demand from the general audience to participate.

Although the producers have not issued an official confirmation, OTTplay reports that Akkineni Nagarjuna is reportedly earning an astounding Rs 30 crore to host Bigg Boss Telugu 9. If accurate, this would place him among the highest-paid reality show hosts in India.
The makers are also expected to rope in several big names from both the Telugu television and film industries, promising a star-studded lineup and high-octane entertainment from start to finish.
