Bulandshahr (UP), May 13 (PTI) More than 40 people fell ill after allegedly consuming contaminated food at a baby shower ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, officials said on Wednesday.

to officials, the incident took place in Salgawan village during a function organised on Tuesday night.
Anupshahr Sub-Divisional Magistrate Priyanka Goyal said people started complaining of uneasiness after consuming food served at the ceremony.
She said police rushed to the spot after receiving information and shifted over 40 affected people first to the primary health centre in Jahangirabad and later to the district hospital.
“All the admitted persons are currently in stable condition,” the official said.
Food samples served at the ceremony have been collected and sent for laboratory examination, she added. PTI COR KIS DV DV
