Now, a report in Deccan Chronicle claims that she is joining the cast of The White Lotus season 4, alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Chris Messina and others. If reports are to be believed, the actress will be headed to France, where Chateau de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez has reportedly been selected as the central filming location.
Deepika Padukone To Join The White Lotus Season 4?
According to Deccan Chronicle, Deepika Padukone will reportedly join the ensemble cast of The White Lotus season 4 later this year. However, it should be noted that details surrounding Padukone’s involvement remain speculative, and have not been officially confirmed by the studio.
Meanwhile, last month, HBO announced the new cast members for season 4 of the series, including Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter and Chris Messina. The series also stars Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, and AJ Michalka and Sandra Bernhard, and reports suggest that the filming for the series is scheduled to run from April to October 2026.
When Deepika Padukone Was Rumoured To Have Been Approached For Season 3
In 2024, Deepika was rumoured to be joining The White Lotus season 3. The rumours emerged when Ranveer Singh’s mother ‘liked’ a post claiming that Deepika will be seen in the international show. During the Fighter press conference, Deepika was coy about the rumours. When she was asked about the White Lotus rumours, director Siddharth Anand jumped in to fuel the rumours by saying, “Lotus 3… Where’s the space now? Lotus 3 is coming.” Deepika laughed at his answer while giving a puzzled expression.
Deepika quickly said, “If Siddharth Anand makes Fighter 2…” The filmmaker replied, “Kaise karenge? Abhi Fighter 2 band kara di aapne, Lotus 3 kar rahi hain, pata nahi kya kya kar rahin hain… White Lotus 3.” Deepika then continued to laugh.
Later, a few reports claimed that Deepika declined the offer to focus on her pregnancy. “Deepika is entirely focused on her impacting motherhood. She has not signed any new film. She said no to a very prestigious international series. I don’t think she will be back to work anytime soon,” a source told Times Now in 2024.
