Jaipur, Jul 20 (PTI) Rainfall activity is likely to pick up again in Rajasthan, where several parts of the state are expected to receive showers this week, the meteorological department said on Monday.
The monsoon has remained weak across the state over the past several days, it said, adding that during the 24 hours ending Monday morning, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at isolated places in eastern Rajasthan, while the western part of the state remained largely dry.
Todabhim in Karauli district recorded the highest rainfall at 33 mm, while Churu recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature at 41.6 degrees Celsius, the met department said.
Rainfall activity is likely to increase in parts of the Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur and Ajmer divisions from July 20-21, it added.
From July 22-23, rainfall activity is expected to intensify further in parts of the Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions, with moderate to heavy rainfall likely at isolated places.
Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions in western Rajasthan are also expected to receive rainfall during July 22-28. PTI SDA SHS SHS
