Like most of the world, Aditi Rao Hydari is also at Cannes 2026. After making us wait with bated breath for her looks, she shared a reel on Instagram, gently roasting the hyper-trendy fashion landscape
in her caption. Dressed in a gorgeous saree, she wrote: “Wearing a saree… the traditional way. Revolutionary, I know 😇”
While the world has been focussed on avant-garde drapes, corset blouses, and experimental silhouettes, Aditi’s latest look takes us back to India’s traditional saree, which is classic, elegant and always a great pick.
Aditi is seen wearing a breathtaking sheer organza saree from JADE by Monica and Karishma. The pastel, muted champagne hue is embellished with intricate, scattered gold sequin and sitara embellishments. Instead of opting for heavy contrast, the look is kept monochromatic and airy with a matching structured blouse featuring clean lines.
The Accents: Statement Heritage Gold
To balance the delicate transparency of the saree, the styling team (assisted by Isshika Manan and Rhia Kapoor) anchored the outfit with a heavy, statement gold choker from Indriya Jewels. The necklace features intricate traditional craftsmanship with dangling gold droplets, sitting perfectly against her collarbone. By keeping her ears completely bare and opting for just a couple of statement rings, the jewellery adds a regal weight to the look without cluttering the neckline.
The hair and makeup, executed by Clotilde Hair Stylist and Coralie Pucci Makeup, stay fiercely true to Aditi’s signature aesthetic: Breaking away from the monochromatic tones of the saree, a rich, berry-red lip acts as the focal colour statement. True to her style, her skin looks translucent and dewy, paired with her iconic feathery, natural brows and a soft flush on the cheeks.
Aditi chose a relaxed, middle-parted low ponytail with a few soft strands framing her face keeps the vibe effortlessly casual yet polished.
