Ashish took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts, describing the film as being of “truly epic proportions”. While the elaborate action sequences particularly caught his attention, he reserved special praise for director Nitesh Tiwari, crediting his vision and execution as one of the film’s biggest strengths.
“Ramayana is a blockbuster of truly epic proportions, delivering some of the absolute best action set pieces Indian cinema has ever seen. But beyond the breathtaking visual spectacle, the film’s biggest strength is Nitesh Tiwari’s astute direction. This is entirely his ship, and he sails it with supreme control,” he wrote.
While Ashish acknowledged a few minor technical shortcomings, including some de-aging shots in the night sequences that felt slightly off, he said the film’s tight editing ensured that these moments did not become distracting.
