Sara Arjun’s breakthrough role in Dhurandhar has established her as an actor to watch out for. Following the success of Dhurandhar, the actress spoke to NDTV about what it was like to work with Ranveer
Singh. For Sara, Ranveer Singh will always remain her favourite co-star, the actress said.
Sara Arjun said, “He is just such a friendly human, and he’s so encouraging, so sweet. I didn’t feel intimidated at all. He never used his seniority to make me feel like that. In fact, he was the most encouraging person; he’s just the best. I love him so much as a person, and I always say that he’s going to be my most favourite co-actor…”
“No matter who I work with in the future, I don’t think anybody can top Ranveer; he has set the bar so high. As an actor, he’s so involved in his own craft, but he also takes care of the whole set. He looks at it (filmmaking) as teamwork. He’s equally involved in what you are doing, and equally involved in what the person on set was designing, the set is doing. So those things really matter. He carries all of us together,” she said.
Sara Arjun and Ranveer Singh also bonded over the fact that they are both Sindhi. Sara Arjun’s parents are actor Raj Arjun and dance teacher Sanya Arjun. “We were both very happy to be the two Sindhi leads of Dhurandhar. We spoke about Sindhi food too,” she added.
Following the massive success of Dhurandhar, Sara Arjun has also shared what audiences can expect from the film’s sequel and her character, Yalina. Sara said, “The audiences have high expectations already after part one, but you can just expect a lot more of everything that you loved already in part one, be it action, be it the story, everything. There’s a lot more of all that coming in part two.”
Sara plays Yalina Jamali, the daughter of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi). Ranveer Singh’s character schemes to make her fall in love, and eventually, the two get married.
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar was a massive commercial and critical success, breaking several records and becoming the biggest movie of 2025.
