Batting superstar Virat Kohli, who now lives in London with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and two children – Vamika and Akaay – on Tuesday (October 14) arrived in Delhi. The 36-year-old right-handed batter,
who last played a competitive match for the Men in Blue on March 9, 2025, in Dubai, will travel to Australia with the Indian team on Wednesday (October 15) from the national capital to take part in the three-match ODI series.

The first ODI of the three-match series in Australia will be played at Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19, and the next two matches are scheduled in Adelaide and Sydney on October 23 and 25, respectively.
Kohli, who is India’s second-highest run-getter in ODIs, will play the three matches under Shubman Gill’s leadership.
During the three matches in Australia, Kohli will have a chance to overtake Kumar Sangakkara and become the second-highest run-getter in ODIs.
As of now, Kohli has 14,181 runs to his name in 302 ODIs played so far, whereas Sangakkara finished his 15-year-long ODI career with 14,234 runs in 404 matches. Kohli is 54 runs away from overtaking the former Sri Lankan captain, wicketkeeper and legendary batter.
