A report by Mid-day quoted a source saying producers Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg, best known for the 2016 drama Neerja, are in talks with actors Rohit Saraf, Nitanshi Goel, and Rasha Thadani to star in a new love story. The project is referred to as an “intense love story,” and although negotiations with the three are ongoing, a director has not yet been chosen by the producers. According to the insider with knowledge of the casting process, the producers want to showcase a new dynamic on screen.

“Rohit has a soft, romantic charm, far from the alpha heroes we see on screen today. His popularity has only increased with Mismatched,” the source said. They added that Nitanshi Goel and Rasha Thadani’s respective Bollywood debuts—Laapataa Ladies (2024) and Azaad (2025)—have piqued viewers’ interest, making them suitable for the film.
Although a title has not yet been decided upon, the source mentioned that the producers are looking for a director with a strong vision for character-driven romance. Discussions are underway, and once the roles are secured, formal confirmations about timelines, story, and creative teams are anticipated.
