A leaked behind-the-scenes video from the sets of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has sparked buzz online, offering fans a brief glimpse of Yash and Nayanthara in character. The film, headlined by Yash,
is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
The short clip, which surfaced on social media platforms and Reddit, appears to have been filmed during a shoot set inside a casino. In the video, Nayanthara, who plays the character Ganga, is seen walking forward to greet a man with a handshake. She is followed by Yash, who repeats the gesture. Nayanthara is dressed in a black gown, while Yash is seen wearing a white outfit. Actor Huma Qureshi can also be spotted in the background.

Soon after the clip began circulating, fans shared their reactions, with many commenting on the film’s visual tone. Some viewers drew comparisons to other films, with one comment reading, “Bombay velvet vibes,” and another asking, “Bombay velvet yet again?” The responses suggest that the leaked visuals have struck a chord for their stylised, retro-inspired look.
Interest in Toxic had already picked up earlier when the makers unveiled first-look posters of key characters. Nayanthara’s introduction as Ganga came with the caption, “Introducing Nayanthara as GANGA in – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.” Her poster, showing her in a deep-neck black gown while holding a gun, led to further discussion about her role and its importance to the storyline.
The film also features Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Tovino Thomas. Kiara Advani was introduced as Nadia, and reacting to the response to her first look, she wrote, “A role that demanded more from me – physically, mentally, emotionally and felt nothing short of transformative. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, with Geetu Mohandas also serving as the director. The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. It is being made in both English and Kannada, with dubbed versions planned in multiple languages.
