The Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEECUP) has announced the dates for the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2026. This exam facilitates admissions to diploma courses in both government and
private polytechnic colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of students take this exam annually to gain entry into engineering, pharmacy, and other technical courses.
This year, the exam will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from May 15 to May 22, 2026. These dates apply to Group A to K8 courses, including engineering and pharmacy.
Students who have completed their 10th or 12th grade and wish to pursue a polytechnic degree can apply from January 15, 2026. The registration process will end on April 30, 2026. The entire process will be online. Applications can be submitted on the official JEECUP website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
JEECUP 2026: Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 300 for General and OBC categories, and Rs 200 for SC/ST. Applicants will need to upload their photo, signature, and relevant documents while filling out the form.
JEECUP 2026: How To Apply?
Step 1: Go to the official website of JEECUP at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
Step 2: Look for and click on the application link on the website’s home page.
Step 3: Upon clicking, a new page will open, where candidates will need to enter their login details.
Step 4: Fill out the form, pay the application fees, and submit the required documents.
Step 5: Submit.
Step 6: Print a hard copy of the acknowledgment form for future reference.
JEECUP 2026: Exam Pattern
This exam covers diploma courses in fields such as engineering, technology, pharmacy, agriculture, and fashion design. It will feature 100 questions to be completed in 2.5 hours, with no negative marking. Candidates should aim to answer as many questions as possible. The syllabus aligns with the 10th-12th grade curriculum, focusing primarily on math, physics, and chemistry for the engineering group. NCERT books are recommended for preparation, along with solving previous years’ papers and taking mock tests. Counselling and seat allocation across colleges are based on rank achieved in UPJEE.
