Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his highly anticipated film King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the actioner will mark the superstar’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter, Suhana
Khan. Amid the buzz surrounding King, SRK fans may have yet another reason to celebrate. A new report suggests that the actor could be returning to one of his biggest hits, Jawan, for a sequel.
According to India Today, Shah Rukh Khan is focusing on wrapping up King currently. Once he is done with it, he may move on to Jawan 2. The report suggests that Jawan 2 has moved beyond the ideation stage, and the script was recently locked after months of development. A source informed the portal, “A script and idea for Jawan 2 had been in the works for a while. A few weeks ago, the script was finalised. SRK will begin work on the film after completing King.”
The report also reveals that the makers are looking for a powerful antagonist. “The team is looking to lock an A-lister from the South as the villain,” the source added. If Jawan 2 happens, it will mark SRK’s second collaboration with Atlee. Their film Jawan was released in 2023, and it shattered box office records back then. The makers are, however, yet to make an official announcement about the sequel.
Jawan also starred Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Deepika Padukone. It also featured special cameos by Sanjay Dutt and Viraj Ghelani.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that SRK might also make a special appearance in Atlee’s upcoming film, Raaka. The film features Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. The report suggested that King Khan has agreed to do the cameo. A source earlier told India Today, “Shah Rukh Khan, who has been working with Atlee on his upcoming film, will reportedly appear in Allu Arjun’s Raaka. He has confirmed to play a brief role given his association with Atlee, Allu Arjun and Deepika.”
Shah Rukh’s King is all set to release on December 24, 2026. It also stars Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Saurabh Shukla, and Arshad Warsi in important roles.
