Deepika Padukone is currently enjoying her motherhood journey with her daughter Dua. The actress has been away from the public for quite some time. Amid spending time with her little one, Deepika took
to social media and asked for help from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, aka BMC, over the poor AQI in Mumbai. The city is currently observing a massive heatwave. Deepika expressed her concern about the citizens and children not being able to breathe fresh air.
Deepika Padukone seeks help from BMC
A while ago, Deepika shared a note on her Instagram story, tagging BMC and BMC Public Health Department to help with the current air quality in the city. Recently, BMC sent notices to construction sites, halting the work across the city a few days ago. In no time, the AQI of Mumbai had improved. The Piku actress shared a picture of the city showing the bad AQI and wrote, “This city (& it’s children) are choking! How is this okay? @bmc @mybmchealth help!” followed by a folded hands emoji. Meanwhile, Deepika recently made headlines after she cancelled her Paris appearance due to the limited flight operations amid the ongoing Middle East tensions. A source told Mid-Day, “Deepika was initially confirmed to attend. She had zeroed in on her outfits and begun fittings for the appearance. But her flight was among the many that were cancelled in the last few days. Also, given that the war has been escalating and affecting several countries across West Asia, she reconsidered whether it was the right time to be travelling.”
On the work front, Deepika has an exciting lineup of films ahead. After exiting from two big films, Kalki 2898 AD sequel and Spirit, she has Shah Rukh Khan’s King this year. She has teamed up with SRK and Siddharth Anand yet again. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Abhishek Bachchan, and Saurabh Shukla in important roles. The film is slated to release on 24th December 2026.
Apart from this, she has Atlee’s directorial AA22XA6 alongside Allu Arjun. The announcement video was posted recently, and it left her fans super excited. Reports suggest that the makers are planning to reveal the official title of AA22XA6 on Allu Arjun’s birthday, April 8, 2026.
