Weddings today aren’t just about rituals and outfits. Couples want their celebrations to be full of little moments that guests will remember for years. From quirky decor to unexpected entertainment, every
detail matters. And desserts, it seems, are becoming a major part of the fun.
A recent wedding in Kolkata has taken that to another level with a moving tiramisu station that literally walks around the venue. Yes, you read that right.
‘Walking’ Tiramisu Station In Kolkata
The video, shared by Kolkata bakery Mabelle, shows a man carrying a box of tiramisu while walking through the wedding. Guests gather around as he scoops portions of the creamy dessert onto plates.
It is almost like watching a street vendor at a stadium selling peanuts or hotdogs except this time it is the rich Italian dessert. The box is balanced carefully and the man moves slowly so that each guest can get a serving.
The overlay text in the video says, “Your sign to make wedding fun with Mabelle’s Tiramisu station.” The clip has caught significant attention online as it accumulated more than nearly two lakh views.

What Makes Tiramisu Special?
Tiramisu is a no-bake Italian dessert famous for its coffee-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone layers. The name literally means “pick me up” in Italian.
Want To Make Tiramisu At Home? Here’s Your Guide
You can start by beating egg yolks with sugar until the mixture becomes thick and a bit pale. Once that is ready, carefully fold in mascarpone cheese to create a smooth, creamy base. Now, in another bowl, whip egg whites or heavy cream to stiff peaks form then fold them into the mascarpone mixture for light and fluffy texture.
Next, prepare the coffee soak. Brew strong espresso and let it cool completely so it doesn’t melt the cream later. For extra flavour, you can mix in a little coffee liqueur like Kahlúa or some rum.
When you are ready to assemble, dip ladyfinger biscuits into the espresso for about two seconds on each side so they soak up the coffee without becoming too soft. Arrange a layer of these soaked biscuits in your dish, then spread half of the mascarpone cream over them. Repeat with another layer of soaked biscuits and the remaining cream until your dessert takes shape.
Finally, dust the top with cocoa powder or grated chocolate. Refrigerate for at least 6–8 hours. Though leaving it overnight is even better, as it allows the flavours to come together perfectly. Once chilled, it is ready to serve and enjoy.
