Sidharth Malhotra is currently working on his next movie, Vvan. While fans are eagerly waiting for the film, it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer to watch it in theatres. If a recent report
by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, Vvan is likely to be postponed from its original release date, i.e. May 15. Reportedly, the film is being pushed to avoid a clash with Akshay Kumar’s Bhoot Bangla, since both films are produced by Ekta Kapoor.
“Vvan is no longer releasing on May 15. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and her other film, Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal and late Asrani, has been pushed from April 3 to May 15. Hence, releasing two films of her production on the same day was not practical. Accordingly, Vvan has been pushed. The new date has been kept a secret by the makers and they are expected to mention it on the first look poster,” a source cited by the news portal claimed.
Reportedly, the first look poster of Sidharth from the movie will be released on January 16, i.e. on the actor’s birthday.
Vvan: Force of the Forest is generating significant buzz as it brings together Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in a gripping tale set against the backdrop of an ancient forest. Set in the dense, mythical heartlands of Central India, VVAN is rooted in Indian folklore and is being shot in real forest locations to ensure authenticity and depth.
Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar, the film is a joint production venture of Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF).
Meanwhile, Sidharth was last seen in Param Sundari with Janhvi Kapoor. The film, directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, opened to mixed reviews but failed to leave an impressive mark.
