What is the story about?
Amid fears of a widening conflict in West Asia, Iran has reportedly halted retaliatory attacks on Gulf states, housing American bases, citing a pause in US military operations, according to Iranian media.
Iranian Army spokesperson Amir Akraminia said, “Americans stopped their attacks over the past two nights. Since our strategy has been entirely retaliatory, we also stopped our retaliatory operations,” Iran International reported.
However, Tehran has warned that it will resume strikes if the US renews its attacks. The development comes days after the interim ceasefire between the US and Iran, which was aimed at ending the conflict, collapsed.
