As Bihar gears up for the Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader unveiled a major poll promise for Panchayat heads.
Speaking at a press event, Yadav unveiled a major poll promise on behalf
of the Opposition’s INDIA bloc. If voted to power, the allowances of representatives of Bihar’s Panchayati Raj system would be doubled, said the RJD leader.
Additionally, the bloc pledged a pension and a Rs 50 lakh insurance cover for Panchayat representatives, emphasizing a strong focus on empowering grassroots leaders and boosting rural governance.
Tejashwi Yadav also launched a sharp attack on the NDA government, calling it “visionless” and “corrupt” and accusing it of diverting Bihar’s funds to Gujarat.
“The campaigning has started and Bihar is waiting eagerly for a change. The people are tired of the current visionless, corrupt government. In the Budget also, they have spent the money of Bihar in Gujarat,” said Tejaswi.
