Actor Ram Charan recently sustained an injury while shooting for his upcoming sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, on Tuesday, March 24. News of the incident quickly spread across social media,
sparking concern among fans, with some reports even suggesting that the actor had suffered an eye injury. Amid the growing speculation, Ram Charan’s team has now confirmed that the actor did sustain an injury during the shoot. They have also addressed the circulating rumours, offering clarity on what exactly transpired on the sets and reassuring fans about his condition.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, Ram’s team revealed that he sustained an injury near his eye while doing an action sequence. The actor also got stitches. However, he is now back to work and has avoided taking a break despite the injury. A source from Ram’s team told the portal, “Ram Charan was shooting for an action episode yesterday (Tuesday) and was injured. He had to get four sutures for it. He was injured above his eye, not his eye, like some seem to believe. His eye is fine. He is back to work as it’s a minor injury and there’s nothing to worry about.”
Helmed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, Peddi boasts a strong ensemble cast, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu in key roles. While the film’s shoot resumed in November 2024, the makers officially unveiled its title in March 2025, further building anticipation among fans. Adding to the excitement, the music for Peddi has been composed by the Oscar-winning maestro AR Rahman.
