The University of Mumbai (MU) has announced the start of undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply for MU UG admission 2026 from May 6, 2026, via the official
website muugadmission.samarth.edu.in.
As per NEP 2020 guidelines, the University of Mumbai will offer admissions to three-year UG programmes, four-year honours with research, and five-year integrated UG-PG courses. MU had already initiated its pre-admission process for UG applicants before the declaration of the Maharashtra board HSC results 2026.
Mumbai University UG Admission 2026 Schedule
According to the official MU notice, the important dates for Mumbai University UG admission 2026 are:
Online and offline form filling – May 6 to 21 till 1 pm
Pre-admission online registration – May 6 to 21 till 1 pm
Submission of admission forms at the college level and pre-admission online registration forms at UOM – May 6 to 21
First merit list – May 26
Verification of documents and fee payment – May 27 to 29 till 3 pm
Second merit list – May 30, 7 pm
Verification of documents and fee payment – June 1 to 3 till 3 pm
Third merit list – June 4 till 7 pm
Online verification of documents and fee payment – June 5 to 9
Classes will commence on June 13.
Students applying for Mumbai University admissions 2026 should keep scanned copies of the required documents ready in advance, including a photograph, signature, educational certificates, and category certificates, in the formats specified by the university on its official website.
Mumbai University UG Admissions 2026: Documents Required
Scanned copies of the following documents (10KB–500KB) in JPG format:
– Scanned passport-size photograph of the candidate
– Scanned copy of signature
– Scanned copy of Class 10 marksheet
– Scanned copy of Class 12 marksheet
– Scanned copy of domicile certificate (for students from Maharashtra)
– Scanned copy of income certificate (for students belonging to a specific category)
If you do not have an income certificate, select “Not Applicable” in the FAMILY INCOME section of the form.
– Photocopy of caste certificate (if applicable)
– Photocopy of EWS certificate (if applicable)

Step 1: Visit the official website – mu.ac.in or muugadmission.samarth.edu.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘UG Admission’ link
Step 3: On the new page, click on the “New Registration” button
Step 4: Register by entering your name, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc.
Step 5: After registration, log in using your registered e-mail ID
Step 6: Fill in the application form and upload the required documents
Step 7: Pay the application fee and review your application form
Step 8: Submit the application form and download a copy for future reference
