The moment drew comparisons from PM Modi’s visit to West Bengal during recently-concluded the state assembly election, when he made an unscheduled pause at a roadside shop and savour the dish.
What followed was an exchange of salvos between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress over as the latter alleged the Prime Minister’s stopover at the shop was a carefully planned publicity stunt — a claim refuted by the BJP.
