Candidates aspiring to become teachers in Himachal Pradesh have a major update. The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) has published the results of the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility
Test (HP TET) 2025. Those who took the exam can check and download their results by visiting the official website, hpbose.org, by entering their roll number or application number.
A total of 36,571 candidates applied for the exam, with 33,083 appearing for it. Out of these, only 8,459 candidates passed, while 24,622 failed, resulting in an overall success rate of 25.6%. Additionally, 3,488 candidates were absent, and there were 2 UMC cases.

– Punjabi: 88 applied, 56 appeared, 3 passed, 53 failed (success rate: 5.4%)
– Urdu: 11 applied, 9 appeared, 2 passed, 7 failed (success rate: 22.2%)
– TGT (Arts): 12,026 applied, 10,858 appeared, 1,429 passed, 9,429 failed (success rate: 13.2%)
– TGT (Medical): 4,747 applied, 4,309 appeared, 1,743 passed, 2,566 failed (success rate: 40.5%)
– JBT: 8,346 applied, 7,574 appeared, 2,506 passed, 5,067 failed (success rate: 33.1%)
– TGT (Sanskrit): 1,662 applied, 1,541 appeared, 427 passed, 1,114 failed (success rate: 27.7%)
– TGT (Non-Medical): 6,346 applied, 5,778 appeared, 741 passed, 5,037 failed (success rate: 12.8%)
– TGT (Hindi): 2,422 applied, 2,187 appeared, 907 passed, 1,279 failed (success rate: 41.5%)
– SPL (Primary to V): 739 applied, 621 appeared, 557 passed, 64 failed (success rate: 89.7%)
– SPL (VI to XII): 184 applied, 150 appeared, 144 passed, 6 failed (success rate: 96.0%)
Overall, the highest success rates were seen in the SPL categories, while many subjects had success rates below 10-15%.
To successfully pass the HP TET examination, candidates belonging to the unreserved categories need to score a minimum of 60% marks. In contrast, those belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, or PwD will require 5% marks.

HP TET Result 2025 Out: What’s Next
The HP TET qualification certificate remains valid for appointments throughout one’s lifetime. This certificate will be need while applying to teaching positions in Himachal Pradesh schools. Qualified candidates must keep both the scorecard and certificate safe, as these documents will be required for future job applications or document verification.
