Korean food has found a big fan base in India, thanks to the rise of K dramas and food videos online. Dishes like ramyeon, crispy fried chicken, kimchi, tteokbokki and bibimbap are now common choices for
many Indian food lovers. While Indians enjoy Korean flavours, it feels even more special when the food love goes both ways. A recent video has caught everyone’s attention as a Korean family living in India shared a fun clip of their two young sons making pani puri at home.
The brothers followed the same style that many Indians use, from filling the puris to eating them with excitement. Viewers loved how naturally the kids picked up the Indian way of enjoying the snack. The family even joked that with all this practice, they might be able to open an Indian restaurant soon.
Korean Kids Make Pani Puri At Home
The video starts with the two brothers frying puris in a pan, while their mother is seen making dosa in the background. As the video progresses, the boys carefully fill the puris with potato masala, spicy water and eat them in one bite just like the traditional way. By the end of the clip, the kids are also enjoying dosa. Their happy reactions show that they genuinely had fun and enjoyed the experience of cooking Indian food.
The video posted on Instagram came with the caption, “Korean Kids Cook Panipuri. The kids made panipuri and I made dosa. At this rate, we might as well open an Indian restaurant at home.”
How Social Media Reacted
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Now they are Indian kids, not Korean.”
Another shared, “I think that East Asian kids are some of the most obedient in the world. Your kids exceed my expectations.”
“You should definitely open a Restaurant. I would be the first customer,” a comment read.
An individual jokingly stated, “If they were Indian kids, their parents would say, ‘You’ll become a pani puri seller after growing up’.”
Another suggested, “You don’t have to fry them in oil. Just microwave the discs for 1-2 mins and they will pop up into puris. So much easier and healthier.”
One more added, “They are officially Indian now.”
In the comments section, the family shared that although they really enjoyed making and eating pani puri, their personal favourite Indian dish is dosa.
